Firstly, sorry Wade about your nose. The train was a bit bumpy and you kept moving.
It was a full day. Train ride into Paris, a full day at the Louvre with Wade as guide, some Pigeon theatrics at lunch overlooking the pyramid, a late train back, a couple hours in the studio, a quick absinthe tasting, and then back up the hill to watch the meteor shower. With our first critiques coming up on Monday, it's going to be a long weekend in the studio.

4 towns, a river, sky, and more trees than I care to draw.

Biked up the hill, up a trail, traversed a barbed wire fence, and found this little spot where you can see 4 towns, the Seine river, and probably as much sky in one glance as I've seen in all my days in New York combined.

I haven't had much wifi or time to draw in Paris, where I got in on
Friday, but I'll be back on the ball tomorrow when I get out to the
countryside. Writing from the lobby of Centre Pompidou, which is one
of my favorite places in the world.

Must have walked about 20 miles today, hit up 3 museums, climbed to
the top of Montjuic. Sleep time. When I finished this drawing I
couldn't tell if I'd been at it for 10 or 90 minutes.

Hard to draw guys moving this fast with awkward posture.

Currently having a coffee at Caixa Forum in Barcelona, one of the best contemporary art spaces I've visited, up there with Palais de Tokyo and PS1.

I'm loving Barcelona on my second day here. I could definitely live here, which I could not say for Madrid. There's an amazing energy to the city, art everywhere, and so much to explore. Splurged a bit on lunch at Tapas 24 and ate a McFoie burger with truffle mayo. Also a jamon iberico croquette, some tomato bread concoction, and a cerveza.

The Picasso museum was good, but more centered on his early works, which was interesting but not too inspiring. None of his great stuff, but I can't complain having just seen guernica in Madrid and having some important pieces in NY. I'd definitely suggest the Picasso museum in Paris over this one as it has a more comprehensive survey of his work. That one blows my mind.

Stolen compositions from photos at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia. Also saw that Guernica painting which was, you know, real good.

When you type "Guernica" into the iPhone it replaces it with "Firebugs".
